The article presents information on the experiment being conducted by teenager Katie VanderWeele of Oregon to find a cheap way to remove arsenic from drinking water in Bangladesh. She tested the ability of water hyacinths to contaminate poisoned water. The results of her experiment may help doctors and scientists save the lives of people affected by arsenic-contaminated drinking water.
