The article deals with the drought experienced in East Africa as of April 17, 2006. Due to the drought, more than 7 million throughout the region are facing hunger and thirst. Although international charities have been sending help, the officials of the United Nations stressed the need for much more aid. With no water, fields failed to produce food. More so, cattle and other farm animals are dying too.
